Oh no, that was the household... ;-) Although we can tell you that this statement doesn't apply in eithercase. Admittedly, your wedding decoration is by far the “nicer” to-do on the list, but it's also something that takes a lot of time. At least if you want it to be “beautiful”.
Speaking of “beautiful”... When we explain our approach to concept creation and implementation to you, for example during the non-binding and free initial consultation, the following is an important aspect that we try to convey to you: Although “beautiful” is of course highly subjective, “beautiful” and “beautiful” and “beautiful” do not always equal “beautiful”. Not to mention the things surrounding the topic of “decoration”, which are not always just about “beautiful” either.
Let's break down what we mean by that...
Let's assume that you've conquered the big chunks of planning, i.e. you've booked a location, a food & beverage caterer depending on the scenario, services from the mainly - in technical jargon - personal area such as a photographer/videographer, hair & make-up stylist, wedding decorator, DJ, ... and all that's missing is the decoration.
No problem, you have a wallpaper of Pinterest pictures, blog posts and inspiration from Instagram. And perhaps also a list of recommendations from the location or other service providers - for floristry, stationery & co. So far so “nice”.
Until each of these potential trades (hopefully) asks about the concept. Or to go straight into the details: What is the vibe of your day? What does the exact program look like? What different settings are there to play in? What is your theme? What are your colors? What are your materials? Not detailed enough yet? Ok, here you go: Which chairs will be used? Which tables or table linen are planned? And what are the dimensions of the tables? How many people will be sitting at a table? What crockery and cutlery will be used and what exactly will be served? Napkins? Flowers as arrangements and/or bouquets? Candle color? Where does the ribbon for the bridal bouquet come from? Menu card at the venue? Who will take care of the delivery, set-up and styling? Who will change the settings? And - a question that is usually completely forgotten or at least pushed to the back of the post-wedding drawer- who will dismantle everything and when, and coordinate the collection and/or return of all the decorative gag gifts?
If you are now gasping for breath and/or have the feeling that we want to spoil the “most beautiful” of all planning topics, we have an idea of who will collect all these loose ends and bring them together, who will find all the answers to these many (technical) questions for you:
Us.
We sort your Pinterest board and wildly compiled inspo screenshots. With our mood board development, we make sure that everything fits together “beautifully”, that you find your theme, your colors, your vibe.
We already make sure that the ideas can be implemented and don't remain a “nice” looking Instagram inspiration that was wonderfully staged for a table setting for six people at a shoot, but is completely unsuitable for performing at a realization with 80 guests.
We research and brief suitable florists, rental companies, papeteristas and everything else needed tobring your concept from the presentation chart to life.
We coordinate with the location and, if necessary, the catering, check who can provide what so that it doesn't have to end up on your payroll. A small side note at this point: Wherever we get a discount, we pass it on to you 1:1. You can find out why in our FAQs.
And we take care of the big picture - before, during and after. That's why we never offer “just” a decoration concept, but always “partial planning” as a service area of our modular principle. This includes all aspects relating to scheduling, transportation, logistics and set-up/dismantling, as well as all communication and coordination with the location and all service providers involved, in the run-up, on the day itself and afterwards. Because yes, as unfortunate as it is, there is an “after” and that sometimes involves unforeseen expenses and almost always quite a lot of backtracking.
What you can rely on, however, is that afterwards it will feel as if the decoration has done itself as if by magic and that it was one thing above all: beyond “beautiful”!
If you would like to find out more about our “decoration concept” and “partial planning” services, please get in touch with us, we still have a few slots available for this season.
With this in mind, have a great time,
Sarah, Liv & Crew
