“IT'S ONLY THE CIVIL WEDDING!”

The civil wedding ceremony. Long disdained as a formal act and as a door opener to the big wedding celebration as a necessary but dusty relic. And completely underestimated in terms of its emotional impact.

It took a pandemic to clean things up a bit in this respect. Because many large celebrations were unfortunately unable to take place due to COVID-19, civil marriages suddenly took on a new and, above all, finally respectable significance.

We celebrate this very much! Because as the name suggests, this is the unique moment when a couple becomes a married couple. You say “I do” to each other - in the best case, once and forever! And if that's not a reason to jump in circles with happiness hormones, then we don't know what is.

And yes, many registry offices have a reputation for not being quite so ... Let's call it a convincing ambience and we can/would/must confirm this with some of them. But there are also many offices and, above all, branch offices where this assessment can be refuted. Beware: We always have a few absolute insider tips in our wedding planner drawer. From urban Hamburg, there are also some beautiful places in the countryside, on the Baltic Sea or - for those who like it a little windier - on the North Sea.
